Another blast from the past :)

I made this Bitty Book and album sleeve by Stampin' Up a while ago for a class I was giving. I covered the sleeve and album in the now retired Cutie Pie designer paper. sniff, sniff... that's me stifling a tear. This was my favorite dp! But the good news is that the new dp is just as fun. tee hee :)

For decorative accents, I dabbed the chipboard "a" and the heart into my old olive ink pad. Then covered them with Crystal Effects. The square chipboard with heart accent is covered with dp. Toss in a few die cut Blooms, grograin ribbon, brad and we're done :)


The album measures aprox. 5-3/8" x 4". I chose to leave the front of the album plain as it's a snug fit and didn't want the decorative accents to get mangled with use. There's several ways to cover the chipboard pieces. The method I used, is to cover all edges. This is slightly more difficult but it gives a very finished look. The other method is nice also but gives a more "earthy" or rustic look. This album is for my dd to put pix of her school friends at the end of the school yr. This is a great size for a quick album... not too big to be intimidating but big enough for a small themed event or yr.

a little thank you

These were quick little thank you gifts to those wonderful gals who RSVP'd to my Mega Super 3 Day Sale. I created these gifties with our NEW BIG SHOT dies, exclusive to Stampin' Up! I had soooooo much fun playing with all my new die cuts. It's so awesome to cut a whole stack of pieces at one time! The folded cello "topper" is the Stampin' Up! Exclusive Die, "Top Note Bigz die" folded in 1/2. This fits over our medium cello bag or our transparent envelopes (side-opening). Inside are a few pieces of cardstock and designer paper punched out with our new scallop square punch, the scallop circle punch, and the top note bigz die. I also included some dark chocolate squares (... isn't everything better with a little chocolate? tee hee) and a coupon for NO TAX on their next order :)

Gift Certificate Holder

I'm loving this stamp set, Inspired by Nature. It's a set that we received free at our Stampin' Up! convention this past August. I didn't think much of it until I stamped with it. Wow! It's so easy and versitile to make beautiful cards, 3D and scrapbook pages because it's a larger stamp. At the same time, it's easy to ink up only parts of the stamp for smaller projects. The above project is a gift certificate holder for my customers.

The background is stamped with versamark for a tone-on-tone background. The finger hold is punched with our terrific circle punch. The sentiment is punched with our corresponding oval punches and finished with Pretty in Pink mini brads. The stamp is inked with Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink, and Rose Red. The cones are glittered with Dazzling Diamonds. Mellow Moss taffetta ribbon is threaded through a slot punch.
